Q: How is your murder mystery different from
box games?
A: Box games generally limit you to 8 people. With our games, you can have
many more. We don't send you a box and leave you to figure it all out.
We work side by side to assist you in invitations, character names, etc.
We send actors to the party to ensure it moves along as it should
ensuring the most fun for everyone.
Q:
What should I tell my guests about the murder mystery party?
A: Each guest will receive an invitation explaining that they have been
invited to a murder mystery. Once they have RSVP'd, they will be
provided with a character name, character background, and costume
suggestions.
Q: Can we have food?
A: Yes, and it is recommended. Finger foods work well at these
parties because they allow everyone to mingle rather than a full-course
meal. We have a bartender and a caterer should you need them.
Q: Does each guest get a character and a
script?
A: Each guest will be assigned a character name. Scripts are not
provided but a synopsis and a secret is given each guest. The party is
meant to be interactive.
Q: What should I tell my guests?
A: Each guest will receive an invitation explaining that they are being
invited to a murder/mystery party. They are provided with a character
name and costume suggestions.
Q: Can some of the guests just watch?
A: Yes, every guest can participate based on their comfort level. We
would need to know which guest does not want to fully participate so we
can assign them the proper part.
Q: Do we
dress up?
A: Costumes are not mandatory but are recommended. The guests feel more
at home if they are in costume with the rest of the guests. Expensive
costuming is not required, sometimes just a hat and cigar will work for
the men, but most of the guests enjoy dressing up.
Q:
Should I decorate the house?
A: Yes it is recommended as it helps to "set the scene" for the party.
We can provide decorations and decorate the house at an additional cost.
Q:
How many guests can be invited?
A: The number of guests depends on the scenario chosen. Most parties
work best with twenty or more people. We can advise you at the
time you chose your scenario.
Q: Can you tell
me more about the scenarios?
A: Additional information about a scenario will be provided at the time
of discussion for booking the party. We don't want to give away
the secrets on the web site.
Q: What is
the cost?
A: Prices vary depending on number of guests, etc. Please contact us for specifics. We supply the scenarios, 2 - 8
professional actors, we send your guests their invitations with their
character name and secret. If needed, we have a bartender and a caterer.
All you need is a list of your friends and have fun!
Q:
What is your refund policy?
A: A full refund is available 30 days or more prior to the date of the
party. If you request a refund within 15 to 30 days prior to the
party you will receive a 50% discount as work will have been prepared by
that time. If less than 15 days to the date of the party, no refund is
available.
